Sage Intacct 2022 R4 Changes

On February 18th, 2022 Sage Intacct will Release R1. With Sage Intacct, there are 4 releases each year and they are provided for all users running Sage Intacct.  This allows clients to always be updated, without having to pay their partner to apply the update.

Company and Administration

Added New and updated permissions: We removed the Learning Center permission and added new permissions for Accounts Payable, Contracts, and General Ledger.
Coming soon Migrate to multi-entity: We’ll be migrating select single entity companies to multi-entity companies with a top level in 2022 R2. Will you be among the first to upgrade?
Name and ID your entity: We’ll be migrating select single entity companies to multi-entity companies with a top level in 2022 R2. Now’s your chance to name and provide an entity ID for your newly upgraded entity.

Accounts Payable

Added AP Bill Automation: We’re excited to announce the Early Adopter program for automated bill creation.
New permission: The new Unmask vendor bank details permission allows users to unmask and view bank details for vendors that use bank file payments.
Usability enhancements for Accounts Payable: We added a new standard view for draft bills, a bill date column for the Pay Bills page, and a variety of improvements to CSV import, all to enhance your experience.
Updated Bill details redesign: View commonly-referenced details, such as line items, state, and bill number, more easily with our reorganization, and see the history of the bill in a new tab. Learn more.

Accounts Receivable

Added Import customer payments: Import customer payments in bulk through CSV import.
Updated Default sender email address: Now when you email invoices or statements, the sender email address defaults to the user sending the email. You can update the Accounts Receivable configuration to add a default email address for invoices and statements sent from Intacct.

Budgeting and Planning

Unchanging Sage Intacct Planning: Sage Intacct offers an add-on module that greatly expands budgeting and planning capabilities. Learn more.

Cash Management

Added Use rules to automatically create journal entries for reconciliation: Add transaction creation rules to your rule sets and streamline your reconciliation
Updated Vendor Payments: Vendor Payments powered by CSI, our new electronic payment service, is now available to all US companies.
Checking Accounts list included in Lists beta: Key improvements to more easily drill down to view data. Learn more.

Construction

Added Print or email project change orders: Use printed document templates or email templates to share project change orders with your internal or external contacts.
Create multicurrency change orders: Create Purchasing and Order Entry (OE) change orders using the transaction currency and exact exchange rate from the source order document.
Track primary documents: Identify a document created from a Purchasing transaction definition as a primary document. Then, any subsequent documents created from the primary document link back to that primary document automatically.

Contracts

Added
Forecast contract renewals
: You can now include contract renewals in your forecast reports in addition to bookings.
Bulk action runs for allBulk action runs give new insights on who did what when.
Updated Reduced edit restrictions on contract invoices: You can now edit the GL posting date and exchange rate data in a contract invoice in open periods.
Fewer steps in some cancellation workflows: Intacct can now automatically apply a cancellation adjustment to the correct invoice in the applicable scenarios.

General Ledger

Added GL Outlier Assistant: The new Outlier Assistant works with approvals and simplifies the process for handling flagged transactions. If it’s enabled, transactions flagged as an outlier are returned to the submitter for re-evaluation instead of being passed on to the Approver.
Reclassify approved and posted journal entries: You can now reclassify posted journal entries that have gone through the GL approvals process.
Dynamic allocations enhancements: We’ve enhanced dynamic allocations to give you a way to do statistical account allocations and allow override to be applied within the Target to any dimension in the Reversal section, regardless of whether part of Allocation Focus or Preserve.

Inventory Control

Added Enhanced inventory inquiry in items: Get visibility into an item’s demand and supply without running and deciphering reports.
Enhanced warehouse transfer reporting: Reconcile the value of in-transit goods with the GL account and other improvements.
Populate subtotal dimension values: Use configuration options to control how to set dimension values at the top level in a multi-entity environment. Learn more about participating in the Early Adopter program for this new feature.

Order Entry

Filter report groups with ICRW reports: You can now filter ICRW report groups by date, location, or department.

Reporting—Financial

Added Financial Report Writer Notations tab: Add a column anywhere in reports to display notations for one or more accounts. When the report runs, you can see the notation text at the column location you selected.

User Experience

Updated Updated UI labels: We updated UI labels in Inventory and Cash Management to improve clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Learn more.

Web Services

Added Highlights include:

·         In Cash Management, you can use credit card bank feeds for reconciliation via the API.

·         In Construction, you can create Purchasing transaction definitions that support a linked workflow, where a primary document is associated with all downstream transactions.

·         In Purchasing and Order Entry, you can override the calculated VAT amount when creating or updating transactions via the API.

·         In Contracts, you can use the new perpetual (Evergreen) term type for business-to-customer contracts.

·         In Projects, you can now track CFDA (Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance) grant information.
