Improved Email Delivery for Sage Intacct Construction

Email tracking and delivery from Sage Intacct CRE is improved with a new, quicker and more reliable delivery option. Announced as part of the Sage Intacct 2023 Release 4, this new option utilizes DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) authentication. DKIM authenication is the industry-leading standard for email security. The feature will reduce the number of emails marked as spam and provide detailed delivery status information for each recipient. 

How to set-up the Enhanced Email delivery option 

The DKIM authentication requires coordination between your Sage consultant and your IT team to set up properly. Before setting up the new feature, you will need to request it to be turned on by Sage and to coordinate with the IT department of your organization and your implementation consultant. This feature is not something that your Sage consultant will be able to implement on their own.  

In your Company Information configuration, make sure that you have configured the email sender domain settings. 

 Tip: Once set up be sure to test that your email delivery options are working as intended. This is a new feature, and while it is unlikely, there is the possibility that delivery of emails may be affected if something was not set up correctly either within Intacct or on the IT side.  

Once the authentication process is complete, a DNS key table will appear. Six total DNS keys must be added to the DNS table.

  • Tip: This new feature DOES NOT allow for multiple domains. As of 3/31/2024, you still can not include multiple email domains within Sage Intacct natively. This feature will be available in the future, but there has been some confusion regarding this, given how new the enhanced email delivery feature is.  
  • Tip: Discuss with your internal IT team to determine if this feature holds any value for you. It is a free feature but will take time to set up and may require a rework of how your organization handles email security. Then, if determined to be of value, contact your Sage VAR consultant, and they will get in touch with Sage to turn the feature on and then request a meeting with your IT team.
