Purpose: Overview and demonstration of the new features in the R4 release with a specific focus on the Construction updates
Easily find your customer ID: Your Sage Intacct customer ID is now shown on the Company information page.
Introducing new language options for Canadian French and Spanish—Beta: You can now set your preferred Company and User languages to Canadian French or Spanish.
Permission changes: We added new permissions for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Time and Expenses.
Accounts Payable
AP Automation support for taxes: AP Automation now supports tax information for companies that use the Tax application.
Send automatic payment notifications to more recipients: In order to streamline vendor communications, Intacct should be configured to automatically dispatch notifications to both the vendor’s primary and secondary email addresses.
Review how payments reconcile to bills: Run the Vendor reconciliation report to see how adjustments, advances, and payments match to bills.
Pay bills enhancements: Act on more bills at once while enjoying sort, filter, and drill down enhancements as an Early Adopter.
Vendor Payments for American Express is being retired: Process all payments by December 20, 2024.
Accounts Receivable
Review how customer payments reconcile to invoices: Run the Customer reconciliation report to see how adjustments, customer advances, and payments match to invoices.
Reduce manual work on AR statements: Automatically include a running balance in AR statements with our statement enhancements.
Customer payment services: As part of our ongoing improvements, we’re planning to sunset our Authorize.net and PayPal integrations in November of next year. In the meantime, we encourage you to check out the Sage Intacct Marketplace to explore alternative solutions for customer credit card integration.
Cash Management
Restrict GL account for bank accounts and credit card accounts: Default AP and Default AR GL accounts are no longer selectable during bank and credit account creation.
Improved printing format for preprinted Canadian checks: Use the print format CAD check 2.0 with checks purchased from one of our Sage-approved vendors.
Enhanced Canadian blank check stock: To stay consistent with Canadian check standards, order checks from our Sage-approved vendors.
Construction
Print details directly from project contract invoices: Print summarized and non-summarized time and materials billing details for project contract invoices, as well as non-summarized expenses.
Scope and schedule of a project: You can add the project scope and schedule to a project so that everyone is aware of those important details.
Track project change orders and change requests assigned to a project or project contract: You can track project change orders and change requests from the Change management tab on the Project information page and the Project contracts page.
Improvements for invoices in Sage Intacct Paperless: We’ve improved how you work with invoices.
Enhancements in Sage Field Operations: New features help you gain insight into your business, select valid serial numbers for serialized inventory, and have a better experience when working outside the office.
Enhancements in work in progress (WIP) management: New fields give you more information about your WIP projects, and some percentage fields now allow a wider range of values (even negative values).
Enhancements in Sage Intacct Construction Payroll: Learn about the latest changes in Construction Payroll.
Enhancements in Sage Construction Management: This release includes many new features and enhancements.
Contracts
Service periods: Now you can automatically include service period start and end dates on your invoices.
Clear and deliver in bulk and more: New bulk actions on the Manage Schedules page allow you to clear revenue and expense recognition or deliver contract lines across multiple contracts. We also made changes to the user interface to improve your experience.
Sync renewal templates to contracts: When you edit a renewal or evergreen template, you now have the option to sync your updates to scheduled renewals associated with that template.
Fixed Assets Management
Override posting dates: We added the flexibility to choose a different posting date when posting depreciation manually.
Transaction allocations for assets: Starting now, you can allocate depreciation expenses across different dimensions, thereby giving you greater flexibility in financial reporting.
Custom declining balance depreciation methods: We added two new custom declining balance depreciation methods, allowing you to define the rate at which assets depreciate—tailored to your specific needs.
Other updates in Fixed Assets Management: In addition, we added a new field for adding notes to assets, we’ve also upgraded two lists, and made enhancements to the import service.
General Ledger
Streamlined setup for GL Outlier Detection: We’ve simplified the setup process for GL Outlier Detection.
Inventory Control
Easier tracking of inter-entity transactions: View inter-entity transactions in your entity-level valuation report details.
Nonprofit
Use retainage without Construction: Customers with only a Grants or Projects subscription can now also use the retainage feature in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Payroll
Streamlined integration with Sage Intacct Payroll: Great news! You no longer need to log in to a separate application to manage the integration between Payroll and Intacct—as a result, it’s now faster and easier to stay connected and maintain seamless operations.
Enhancements in Sage Intacct Construction Payroll: In this release, we’ve made updates to improve functionality and usability. Specifically, these enhancements help streamline Construction Payroll tasks which in turn increases overall efficiency and accuracy.
Platform and Customization Services
Add more custom fields for the Location dimension: To give you even more control, you can now add up to 100 custom fields for the Location dimension—expanding your ability to track and organize location-specific data.
Offer additional options to users: To enhance the user experience, we now offer additional options for users by providing labels in more languages—making the platform more accessible to global teams.
More flexibility and control in the page editor: We’ve introduced more flexibility and control in the page editor. Specifically, you can now enable or deactivate the Detach link property, giving you greater customization over how users interact with page elements.
Simplify internationalization: Import and export translations for your applications easily so that you can increase user adoption.
Projects & Grants
Use retainage without Construction: Starting now, customers with only a Projects or Grants subscription can also take advantage of the retainage feature in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Improved syncing with Sage Intacct PSA: To enhance integration and streamline operations, we’ve improved the syncing of data between Sage Intacct and Sage Intacct PSA (Professional Services Automation).
Purchasing
Enhancements to Purchasing automation: With this release, we’re not only continuing the Early Adopter program for AP Automation with Purchasing, but we’ve also delivered several enhancements to improve the overall experience.
Revenue Management
Updates to Manage Revenue Schedules: We added new selection options and now automatically hide outdated results.
Sage Intacct Real Estate
Add more custom fields for the Location dimension: You can now add up to 100 custom fields for the Location dimension.
Enhancements in Sage Intacct Real Estate: As part of our ongoing enhancements, we’ve not only improved processes but also introduced new options for managing lease renewals, late fees, rent calculations, and several other key tasks.
Tax
Tax detail enhancements for tax submission: Now you can maDuplicate Postrk tax details to exclude transactions using them from tax submissions.
Tax submission for custom tax solutions—Early adopter: To help simplify your processes, our new tax submission workflow streamlines tax filing for any company using a custom tax solution. If you’re interested in getting a head start, join our early adopter program to gain early access to this powerful new feature.
Override tax schedules: For added flexibility, companies that use Advanced Tax or a VAT tax solution can also override the default tax schedules in Purchasing and Order Entry transactions.
Get ready for 1099 season: Get a head start on what you need to know for this tax season. Tax forms are available now.
1099 e-filing powered by TaxBandits: Skip the manual printing of 1099 forms and send tax information directly to TaxBandits to file with the IRS.
Enhancements for Canadian Sales Tax: With our streamlined Canadian Sales Tax solution, you can easily calculate and submit taxes for both Federal and Harmonized Sales Tax. Additionally, you can exclude specific transaction line items from tax submissions by using tax detail reporting.
Time and expenses
Accurately record clock-in and clock-out times—Sage Intelligent Time: In order to achieve effective time collection and, at the same time, ensure compliance with labor laws, it is essential to diligently and consistently maintain detailed records of hours worked.
Create and apply clear pricing structures—Sage Intelligent Time: Use rate cards to apply standard billing rates for employees, tasks, and projects. Coming in December!
Streamline expense reporting with automated receipts submission: Now, it’s easier than ever. Simply email your receipts to Sage Intacct from any device and then let artificial intelligence to help you code them.
User Experience
Lists enhancements: With the latest list enhancements, you can now personalize your list views, easily leverage advanced filters, and conveniently manage list and record details side-by-side. Best of all, there’s so much more to explore—so go ahead and try it out!
Updated user interface changes: We updated labels in Company and Administration, Fixed Assets Management, Inventory Control, Order Entry, Projects, and Purchasing.
